I think it just needs abit of personality. No offence but at the moment it does seema bit average. Think once that's done it'll be fine just needs abit of charcter is all.
Thanks, StrangeGuy

Seems like a generic forum at the moment. However, it's less than 24 hours old, I think in time when more members transfer over, ranks are placed, maybe when The Companions get back together and a new article system is brought up the site will be much better. Great work thus far Guys

I remember the same thing when T40K closed down, but the sit will develop it's own sense of style and community qucikly, trust me.
Don't forever draw comparisons to the original though.

If you try and compare TLA2 to th orginal, well, u can't.
Otherwise, looks good! We need to focus on a star & ranks system, and saving old articles from TLA

Yeh, there's only a handful of us here at the moment. Once we get enough people making the transition, it should liven up and develop a character of its own. I for one am going to try to keep the Harad forum active as it once was, and not let it sink into the sorry state it has become on TLA. I think we should look on this as a chance to rejuviate the community, 'cause let's face it, the activity on TLA was dwindling, and so maybe now we can have a fresh start and see what happens. Oh dear, I'm getting all philosophical now!

lol, it may be a struggle for the forum to remain active in the beginning, but we can get by, adn eventually we'll be successful. I agree with CCT, we can't let TLA2 dwindle

I think it will take quite a long time for the community to accept this as the "new TLA", but in time I believe we will have a tight knit group here. It's definently a good start and I also think we shouldn't stray too far from the traditions of the old TLA. We should keep it as close as possible, of course it won't be a carbon copy, but it's a start.
Before we make any changes like adding factions and stuff, we should focus on just gathering all of the stragglers from TLA and creating a new home here.
If we keep it close to the old TLA the transition will be smooth sailing from there...

Just to remind you I was Orc of mordor .It's looking great at the moment. The only thing is, you are able to go onto the other allegiance forums and post stuff up there. But I guess you will have to set up the allegiances so that you can choose what allengiance you are too. Good things come to those that wait.

The site is awesome! It's not the original TLA, but given some time, it will get better. Remember, the site is brand new and has only been open for a day. Give it some time.

Essentially, the thing that drew me to TLA in the beginning was the depth of the materials available. There were thousands of articles, and, due to a strict screening staff the majority of them were brilliant and they really shaped my developing hobby skills. Almost every model available from GW had a painting guide (some three or four guides!), and if I didn't like GW lines there were plenty of alternatives, from numerous sculpting articles to some excellent reviews...Now what do we have?
The community part of the site was important to me, but really only because it was full of expert tacticians like hixont and amazing terrain makers like PaulF. I was only an infrequent member of the OT forum... If we save the community aspect, great, but the indisputably largest library of hobby articles was much more, and if we lose that...
I, of course, am more than willing to work on saving the brilliant articles that are on the still availlable site. But, if the original site goes down, will TLA be able to hold the position it did, and therefore my, and other members, gravitation towards it?
