Well, I won't say what I was going to say then , I was gonna say you could get tanned flesh, dwarf flesh and Elf flesh for the skin. Tin Bitz, chainmail and mithril silver for the sword. And Bestial brown for the bow. With these you can highlight starting with the darkest colour but if you've just started it is probably best you try that at a later date

i just started drybrushing with my wargs and spiders. I have not yet learned the ways of the "highlighting ooooooohhhhh" And my normal painting is rubbish, filled with gaps, transitions are always messy, it would probably make pros throw up but if you think yours is worse then okay Edit: we must have posted at the same time or close to it red

Frosty got all angry at me for not having an edge of the board and not drybrushing. But hey, I'm just a starter. Ya gotta let me go at me own pace mate.

True, I remember a while back I never used to wipe some paint off my brush before painting, in the end all I had was an army of colored Blobs of paint lol. You don't need to dry brush yet, but I would definitely recommend, once you dip your brush into the pot of paint, to wipe a small amount off onto some newspaper (or your shirt, like me) then paint with it.

I remember Frosty painted a model without an undercoat once, I think it was Frodo, it looked shiny. I have always undercoated my models, except I just used to paint them with black, but now I spray paint

Hmm, I don't really know, maybe he was referring to someone else's post. As far as I know, Jay doesn't have a thing against the paints on the back of the box

No, he told me at school he doesn't have anything against that. It's just that he said I've no technique in my painting.
