hi folks, first ever blog so i am sorta new to it all
at 7pm gmt today i played "that tla guy" on vassal, twas a good game
we playing by lome rules and were going to see which one would be broken first. The brave forces of rohan rode on to the field as the evil orcs were seen at bay.
no wargear listed
His force at a glance
eomer
eowyn
8 royal guards, 4 mounted
8 riders
6 bows
8 foot troops with throwing spears
my force at a glance
shagrat
gorbag
2 shamans
22 morroan orcs, 11 with spears
13 bows
2 orc shieldmen
2 orc spearmen
we played on a "24 by 24" bored
first turn i got priority
i marched my entire line 3"
it was then TTG's movement and i had just realized, i forgot to cast fury and i had moved my guys in a position where eomer and his cavalry could charge
( its what i get for not playing in two weeks )
he charged and the throwing spears took a life of an m.o
shooting, i had managed to kill 1 rohan archer with 13 orcs,
then he shot back and didnt kill a single thing
combat happened with the majority of my troops performing well in the manner of killing the cavalry, eomer killed my gorbarg
next turn i remembered and casted, i had used up 7 will for both shamans all together however it was cast and it would prove amazing later on. TTG then got priority and i quickly called a heroic move with a orc shaman and i engaged everyone of his cavalry on his left flank leaving his left flank to move, when they had i had some men left to move... shooting came and an orc archery fell however 2 rohan archers were killed
combat now occurred, until now his throwing weapons had been lucky... by the time we had finished half the combat which was all on the left flank i could see only 5 cavalry models left of the 13 original and i had made eomer use up all his fate and he had one wound left as well so ;D ;D ;D
then combats on the right flank went both ways as 2 men were killed either side
TTG had to go for some reason and all though the game had finished he started of with 32 and now had 20, me well i started as 41 and finished with 36 and we may have not decided what the result was but i will leave that to you, twas a brilliant game all though it lasted something like 3 turns and gorbag died through eomer super killing sorta-luck my shamans did me well, your probably thinking 2 shamans in a 500pt game well i can tell you that most of you will think thats a waste but i can say its my secret weapon...
