Paints Used:
Skull White
Dark Green Ink
Optional Paints:
Chaos Black
Chainmail
For ghosts with metalic coloured armour follow bottom guide.
Non-Metallic Ghosts
Stage 1
basecoat your model with some thinned down skull white. i would not advise using spray as you may find that the ink used in a later stage will not run properly on spray paint and you will end up with blothces of green ink.
Stage 2
once the white has dried paint over the entire model with green ink. this may take a while to dry
Stage 3
mix in some green ink with some skull white. once you have a mixture that you like the colour of (not too white) you can begin to drybrush your model
Stage 4
add some more skull white to your mixture and drybrush the model again with this mixture, this time drybrushing more lightly
Stage 5
now very lightly drybrush the model again using pure skull white.
Metallic Ghosts
Stage 1
basecoat your model with some thinned down skull white. i would not advise using spray as you may find that the ink used in a later stage will not run properly on spray paint and you will end up with blothces of green ink.
Stage 2
go over any areas you want to be like metal in chaos black.
Stage 3
paint green ink over all of the white areas of the model, again this will take a while to dry
Stage 4
mix in some green ink with some skull white. once you have a mixture that you like the colour of (not too white) you can begin to drybrush the white areas of your model
Stage 5
add some more skull white to your mixture and drybrush the white areas of your model again with this mixture, this time drybrushing more lightly
Stage 6
now very lightly drybrush the ghosty areas of the model again using pure skull white.
Stage 7
clean up any of the chaos black areas using chaos black
Stage 8
drybrush the black areas with chainmail paint
I have no pics of this variety as i do not like this option but here is an overview of my army of the dead
Conclusion
I hope this has helped you painting your Army of the Dead. I really enjoyed painting these miniatures and hope you do just as much
Feedback is welcome
