I suppose either would work, for all my models such as Gondorians and orcs I use brown, but green would work for elves

Jadmoroth: you know what? i didnt used any wash on this model. no washes/water mixtures used on this model... hes clean just highlighting

Wow, no washes, I always use washes on my models, I also would like to know how you got that cool effect on the armour

i dont use washes on my models very much either, though sometimes i will do a watered down one of flesh wash for faces then highlight over it

basecoat tin bitz first highlight of Brazen Brass second highlight of Shining Gold third highlight of (the even lighter gold forget its name:S) last: mithril silver on the edges
just highlighting and a steady hand

Jadmoroth's How To Paint Elvish Armour
1) Under coat with chaos black 2) Paint the armour with a mix of shining gold and Goblin green 3) Use a black wash to dive it depth and make the colour better. 4) Highlight with a mix of chainmail and shining gold 5) Stand back and admire how awesome it looks

Looks nice.
I agree the chainmail doesnt look quite right. The rest is nice though.
I do suggest you get some new brushes however, I can see loads of bristles under the paintwork.
