This battle report was a quick game of 'To the Rescue' battle game featured in BGiME no. 11, between me and my mate Henry.
No might, will or fate were used.
Turn 1:
Aragon sprinted west into the forest towards Gimli, who advanced directly forward.
Legolas used the cover to his advantage as he lept over a ruined wall and hide behind a tree.
2 pikemen, an archer and a swordsman moved to intercept Gimli while the captain lept forward bellowing orders as they lept over a hedge.
2 pikemen moved cautiously, searching for life in legolas' part of the forest while an archer covered them.
Neither Aragon or legolas were in any position to shoot but the archer on Gimli's flank took aim and fired it hit Gimli in the shouleder but Gimli continued unneffected.
Turn 2:
Legolas sprang from behind a tree and took aim.
This allerted the Uruks and the captain broke off from his group to intercept him.
Aragon remained undercover as the uruks charged towards him.
Gimli rushed forward into combat with the opposing Uruks.
I decided to take a risk and fire into the combat against Gimli, this resulted in the first casualty in the game with one of my uruks falling to the ground with a friendly arrow in his back!
The archer on Legolas' flank fared better. His black featheres arrow wounded the elven hero!
Legolas took aim at the on-coming captain and fired but he missed alltogether!
Gimli managed to push back his opponents but failed to kill any of them.
Turn 3:
The captain charged into Legolas while two more uruks snuk round the tree to attack him from behind. However the difficult terrain mad it tough going and they didn't manage to reach the elf.
A swordsman charged into Aragon supported by two pike men and Gimli resumed his combat with the uruks.
Gimli managed to lose his combat and afer some dodgy dice rolls and lots of swear words, the dwarf was wounded.
Aragon pushed back and slew one of his attackers.
To be continued................
