I played a real game for the first time in about 8 months a few weeks ago, and I really got into it. Got a break next week, so I'm going to get a few more games in.

Last Summer, in other words a year ago. Ya, thats right. none of my friends play, and so I have to go to GW, and summer time is the only time I have time enough to stay at GW long enough to play a game. I may not this summer, as I'm hoping to find a job, to even pay for my minis!

A long time ago, thats all I can say, definitely before Christmas, probably sometime in the holidays before Xmas. Hmmm, it could have actually been the campaign that we did, that was a long long time ago

So long ago that I've forgotten. Probably a year or more ago.

fine was yesterday, i used gandalf, gimli, Boro OTWT, 5 bowmen and 10 womt ( 550pts ) vs treebeard, 31 rangers, 8 dunedain.... 650pts To the death... in the end i say i was a little bit unluckyer, the game finished a draw as we had ran out of time. I killed 16 guys and he had killed 4... in terms of objectives it was a draw but in terms of killing i had won... Gandalf had 2* will left, 1 might and no fate. Boro had no might left, 3 will and 2 fate, Gimli had 1 might, 2 will and 1 fate left.... Treebeard hadn't even gotten into combat... Twas a good game and i think had we continued i woulda won

Wow. Just imagine how well you would have done if you'd had the extra 100pts (or your oponant 100 less).

Played a game on Thursday. Killed his troll with bowfire, then it was smooth sailing. This is the reason that the North now controls Tower Hills on TLA!

Earlier today I played my first LotR game in about a year. I fielded the Grey Company (Aragorn, the Elf Twins and 6 RotN with their accompanying RoA) and my opponant fielded a High Elf army (as it was my first game in ages I let him be a bit lax and let him take more than 50% bows and the rules for High Elf cavalry on the GW website). The scenario we rolled was 'Ill Met by Moonlight', not the best one for either of us considering our armies' shooting strengths. We played on a 4x4 table, although we only ended up using half of it as I deployed as compact as possible, and he deployed likewise opposite me. In the first two or three turns, my shooting had felled about three times as many casualties that I had taken. In turn four we closed, and little shooting was seen from then on. Combat was fierce, with it wearing away at both sides. He foolishly charged the cavalry forwards, and using a combination of winning priority and Aragorn's heroic moves I was able to surround and slaughter them. Meanwhile, Aragorn and the Elf Twins waded forwards forcing a breach in their army. while a small section of two RotN and four RoA held back a bit and a bit to the left, holding that flank. Aragorn and Elladan (or was it Elrohir?) cut down his Elf Captain (and only hero) about two turns into the main brawl. Gradually I was able to wear him down to breaking point (although mine soon followed), which saw him failing a lot of courage test (he must have had about a quarter of the starting army leg it throught the rest of the game) while I continued to pass thanks mainly to Aragorn's Stand Fast! Over the next few turns I gained the upper hand as I began to outnumber him everywhere and more and more of his fled. Eventually, I won the day, only being a couple of models under my break point, giving me a minor victory. This was an enjoyable game, especially as I hadn't played for ages. The highlight of the game had to be the Elf and Ranger who kept at each other for at least five turns before the Ranger finally won (coincidently, this is the Ranger I've converted to be doing a 'V' sign, so throught the fight he was contiuously flipping off the Elf  ). I think by the end, the elf just planted his sword in the ground and said something like "Ah F*** it! I'm tired, I'm dirty, there's a stone in my shoe and I just don't give a d**n any more. Just get it over with and finish me."
