So, using a little tactic from Adam Troke, I figured for my tournament next month I was going to be using a 6 Hero army and pair them up. Will be focussing on a Rohan Hero Army.
I don't know how well this army will do but I myself think it looks quite good overall.
Theodens' Host
Theoden, King of Rohan with Heavy Armour... 70 Points Eomer, Marshall of the Riddermark... 75 Points Gamling, Captain of Rohan with Royal Standard of Rohan... 100 Points Hama, Captain of Rohan... 50 Points
Allies - The Fellowship
Legolas with Elven Cloak and Armour... 105 Points Gimli, Son of Gloin with Elven Cloak... 100 Points
So thats 6 models, 3 shots max, 15 might and the Royal Standard of Rohan.
Theoden and Gamling will go Together. Eomer and Hama will go Together. Legolas and Gimli will go Together.
It's a three game tournament I will be playing.
Game 1 - Pitched Battle [won't do too good here probably:\] Game 2 - Contest of Champions Game 3 - To Kill a King
I think Game 2 and 3 should be Ok.
Annyway, what do you think of the army at the moment and what could make it better?
Thanks,
Jake

I'd say that you'll probably do well in games two and three, but like you point out, you may have some trouble with game one.
Have you thought about a mounted Grey Company list? Aragorn with armour, bow and horse.......195pts Elladan and Elrohir with armour, elf bows and horses......180pts 4 x RotN with horses.......124pts
Total.......499pts, 7 models, 13+1 Might, 7 shots max.
The idea by here is you use let the enemy come to you, thining their ranks with bow shots, then charge with the horses to give yourself an edge in combat and be able to nulify the effectiveness of enemy cavalry.

That sounds like a fairly good alternative, although not so sure how I'd convert the RoTN on Horse. Any alternatives or good ideas you can think of? Besides I am quite willing now to take the risk and go with my original army

You could probably use Rohan Outriders and file down any armour to make it leather. Alternatively, get some Riders of Rohan, and either cut the riders at the waist and then put the torso from a ranger on the rider legs, or just remove the rider's helmets and sculpt hoods over the rider heads (remember to file down any armour). As they're heroes, you don't have to worry about the bow in hand rule.
